I'm Kristian, the founder and craftsman behind Unrefined Furniture. What started as a personal passion for woodworking has grown into a full-fledged furniture company built on craftsmanship, creativity, and a deep appreciation for natural materials.

 

For years, woodworking was my hobby—an outlet where I could bring unique ideas to life through my hands. Over time, my love for designing and building one-of-a-kind pieces inspired me to turn that passion into a career. That’s how Unrefined was born: a company dedicated to creating custom, handcrafted furniture that highlights the raw beauty of wood.

Each piece I create comes from a carefully selected collection of wood slabs, often sourced from the same tree, ensuring a natural flow and consistency in the design. However, no two pieces are ever identical. Every slab has its own unique grain pattern, color variations, and character, shaped by the tree’s natural growth and history. This means that each item I craft carries its own story—one that’s as individual as the home it becomes a part of.

At Unrefined, my goal is to bring nature indoors while celebrating the authenticity of the materials I work with. Whether it’s a statement dining table, a coffee table, or a custom piece designed just for you, my work is all about blending functionality with the organic beauty of wood.
